Shakespeare Club

The Shakespeare Club is an after-school program that meets on Wednesdays 2:30-4:30 to explore the world and works of William Shakespeare and the Elizabethan period. The children chosen for the program will learn yoga, vocal warm-ups, journal writing, theatre discipline and perform an adapted version of one of his plays.
Meetings for the 2011 club will begin on January 12, 2011.  Twenty actors and 1 stage manager will participate. As the production nears student lighting and sound operators will also be chosen.
In order to participate club members must attend all of the meetings. In order to audition a form must be filled out by an adult parent or guardian. The program is free and always looking for enthusiastic kids.
The Shakespeare Club will perform "A Midsummer Night's Dream" four times on May 26, 2011.
